Surfrider Europe

Surfrider Foundation Europe is a non profit organization, dedicated to defending, saving, improving and managing in a sustainable manner the ocean, coastline, waves and the people who enjoy them. It is the parent and governing organization of Surfrider Foundation Ericeira.

Portuguese Environmental Agency

The Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) is responsible for proposing, developing and monitoring the implementation of environmental policies, particularly in the context of integrating the environment into sectoral policies, including health and transport and in tackling climate change, protection ozone, air quality, prevention and control of noise, waste recovery and use of soil and other contaminated sites, prevention and control integrated pollution, prevention of major industrial hazards, environmental safety and populations, eco-labeling, green purchasing and voluntary environmental management.

The Department of Foresight and Planning and International Affairs

The Department of Foresight and Planning and International Affairs (DPP) acts as the office of planning, strategy, evaluation and international relations of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning and its mission is to ensure technical support to policy formulation, strategic planning and operational and how to support the concerted cross-ministerial policy environment at European and international level, streamline and coordinate the active participation of various organizations.

Coastwatch Portugal

Coastwatch Portugal seeks to increase awareness of the environmental situation of the Portuguese coast, sensitize schools, institutions and the general public to the problems resulting from the impacts of human activity along the Portuguese coast.

Geota Study Group

The GEOTA Study Group on Planning and Environment is a nationwide association of environmental protection. It came to exist legally in 1986, but has worked as a think tank and educational group in the environment since 1981.
